I surrender!

Aiden woke up a bit early from his nap and he likes to play for a good half hour before he'll sit and eat so we went out back to see if the wood sealant worked against the wasps. It seemed to work on the playset, a couple would fly by and fly away. So I thought we were good to go and we decided to play.

grumping at his cars, they apparently weren't doing what he wanted to. Also funny little tidbit, he likes to call them "Tar" now because truck was too hard to say and he can't seem to distinguish so he combined the two and now they are all tars

The water sealant worked but we couldn't get to the wood in all the cracks and the playset wood is tight enough together it didn't need it but this very poorly constructed "deck/porch" was not so well made and the wasps just crawl in the cracks, and now we get 2-3 wasps at a time right in front of the door. I am NOT getting wasps in my house! I was mad :(! Especially when I then saw them carry wood balls up into the siding..in a place we can't get to them...It's looking like it may be time to either live and let live and hope they continue to NOT sting us or give in and call an exterminator. I rushed Aiden inside afraid he'd get stung again (and maybe a little afraid I'd get stung too ;P). Poor kid must think I'm psycho sometimes but hey he got a good half hour of mom running away from wasps to play outside so that's good right? After Jeremy got home I felt bad for being such a chicken of a mom so we went on a walk around the block. Aiden LOVES going on walks so we try to go a couple times a week and I have to say they are one of my favorite little family times.

He liked to say gooooo GOOOOO and race his daddy

When he gets to a driveway he likes to follow the line, sometimes he straddles it and follows it to the end. Such a funny boy!

He learned the snake sound in nursery when they were playing with playdoh and making snakes so he loves to make the sound now. "SSssss Sssss"

After our walk we were walking up the steps to the door when wasps started flying around us and we found THIS (which I was not brave enough to take a picture of until nighttime.) I surrender! I give up! :(
