Fourth of July Part II

We had some barbecue chicken and grilled corn with a fruit salad for dinner (delicious!) and we were hoping to eat outside but we were rained out :(. After dinner we watched a movie and waited for it to get dark (Aiden had a late nap today so he wouldn't have a hard time with staying up a little bit later) and then headed out to light some fireworks and watch some of the big neighborhood fireworks.

we started off with a battle of the tanks which Aiden thoroughly enjoyed :)

Some smoke bombs, this one was like a giant smoke grenade it was ridiculous how much smoke came out of that thing, you could have a lot of fun with them if you had a bunch and did an all out war

We got some strobes, those were too bright for Aiden so he had to look at them sideways haha

Aiden REALLY liked the sparklers, he's mesmerized right here but he laughed a few times and smiled a bunch too

The next one was a whistling monster truck and it was quite the ordeal. As soon as it whistled Aiden jumped and then it shot out a little bomb that came flying at me and me and Aiden almost went tumbling out of our chair and then it started whistling again and Aiden started clawing to climb up me (as if he had anywhere to go, what was he going to do perch on my head?) So I stand up with him and back up and he wraps his arms and legs around me so tight I could barely breathe lol. He did not like the loud ones that's for sure...Then we did our finale which was one that had a ton of different colors and shot up pretty high and Aiden really liked that. We went inside and had some rootbeer floats (Aiden hates ice cream and decided he wanted ritz bits instead haha). Such a fun day!
