Sleep Training

Sleep training has good days and bad days, he went a night without crying at all and then another night of barely crying. Last night was a very bad night. He cried for 2 hours with me comforting in between. He got hoarse!! I felt so bad :( but I know this is good for him so I'm going to stick with it.

This is actually a funny story, its what I call a baby snow suit ha! A friend of Jeremy's mom gave it to us and its so huge it keeps Aiden from angry kicking while he is crying, he kicks SO hard he propells himself to the top of the crib even if I start him at the bottom and keeps kicking so that his body turns completely sideways and ends up burying his face in the crib bumper which scares me half to death, BUT if I take the bumper off I worry he'll propell his soft spot right into the crib bars, so instead we put him in THIS to keep him from trying to kill himself...

Sleep Training Day 3

Day 3: Aiden wouldn't go to bed at 9 so I put him down at 10 and he cried for about 20 minutes and then fell asleep until 6:30am. He's doing so well!

Sleep Training

SLEEP TRAINING:

Day 1: Put Aiden down at 10pm Aiden cried for about 15 minutes then fell asleep for about 5 and this went on for about half an hour, after that he gradually cried for less and slept for more for another couple hours, then for the rest of the night he woke up every hour and cried for about 10 minutes, I fed him twice during the night, woke up for good at 10am.

Day 2: Put Aiden down at 9pm he grumbled softly for about 5 minutes then was out...didn't wake up until 7:30am!!!! I woke up at 10am and went in to check on him and he was just playing quietly just waiting for me and he gave me a huge smile when I came in. He's doing so awesome!!!

California

Jeremy, Aiden and I all got to go to California!! It was SO much fun! I actually fell in love with it, I've always missed Florida but I hated the humidity and so California is perfect!

It was really fun to see Steve and Jamie and Kensie. Kensie was SO cute with Aiden, she loved getting right up in his face (literally right up in there hahha, he loved it though) and making faces at him and getting him to smile (I've never seen him smile at someone so much other than me and Jeremy!). It was really cute to see her do crazy dances and stuff to get him to smile and laugh, SO cute.


We took Aiden swimming for the first time and he was pretty unsure about it and then he got water up his nose and that was it for him hahha. So we took him to the hot tub which thankfully wasn't too hot and I just rested him on my knees half raised out of the water just like in his baths and he loved that.

Dr.'s appointment

Aiden is 10 pounds 3 ounces yayyyyyyyyyy!!!!! He gained over a pound and a half in two weeks! The pediatrician was super relieved, he was really happy. Aiden was just showing off at the doctor's office, all the receptionists came over and started cooing at him and he was smiling and cooing at the nurse it was cute. One lady coming in for an appointment said he made her want to have another baby. He's become quite social! He loves entertaining himself by making different sounds its so fun. He's ahead of his development, well according to the ped books but those probably just say what he needs to be doing by what age at the latest. He can see really far and follows me if I'm across the room, he LOVES baby talking to people and if you do it back he'll start smiling. He can roll over and last night I even got him to sit up if he was supporting himself with arms, only for about 10-15 seconds but still!!!

Yesterday at Walmart he puked all over the floor, so gross and embarrassing, I had to scrub it up it was terrible. Some guy tried to keep from laughing at me :(!

WE ARE GOING TO CALIFORNIA!!!! Jeremy's professor gave in and is letting him turn his paper in early so we can go to california to visit Steve and Jamie and Kensie this weekend! SO EXCITED!

SLEEP TRAINING: The pediatrician wants me to start sleep training again so look forward to posts about htat next week...hopefully it goes ok...

So basically Aiden likes Keith-o A LOT, it was actually adorable, Keith-o got him to laugh better than me or Jeremy ever has!!! How lame is that!!! I loved it! I only got the video camera out in time to catch the tail end of his laugh but you can kind of hear it and you hear him chatting away at Keith-o

Lack of common sense

Aunt Ruth and Uncle Bret came to town for Olivia's blessing and we got all the cousins(they are actually Aiden's 2nd cousins...I think hahha). Olivia was crying because she was only half fed but we wanted them together before someone else got mad too, Carter is happy as can be and Aiden is very serious and just chilling...as usual hahha.

I also discovered that my voice sounds different to everyone else than it does to me, you'd think this would be common sense but obviously not to me, I asked Jeremy if how I sound on the video is what I really sound like and he said yes! I was mortified!!! I like my voice the way it sounds to me better!!!!!!
