Finally a sunny day (I also just noticed a lot of posts begin with finally haha)

It has been the weirdest year for weather, the winter didn't have as much snow and the spring and summer have been nothing but rain. Yesterday we had a sunny day and Jeremy gets off at 5 now instead of 6 (a much anticipated change that we are so excited about!) so we took Aiden on a walk to the park. Aiden LOVES going on walks, while he loves having a backyard he is still sometimes weird about grass and so ends up playing on the tiny porch the whole time. But walks are his absolute favorite thing to do. We usually try to go on a walk around the block as a family at least once a week but this time we decided to take the long walk to the park (its not really that long, just like 2 1/2 blocks but for Aiden that is far!).

Don't mind how freakishly long his shorts are haha, he'll grow into them, they'll probably still fit him next summer but we didn't think the 18 month size would be long enough, he's in between sizes right now

he started getting tired when we were almost there and started dragging his feet a little bit haha

but once we got to the park he found his energy again and he used to be afraid of slides but now they are his favorite thing ever, and this park has lots of slides that Aiden can climb up to by himself (instead of the one in our backyard that just taunts him because he can't get up to it poor kid)

he liked running back and forth on the bridge because it bounced while he walked

he even tried the biggest slide! He face was fear stricken but as soon as he saw mom at the bottom he started laughing (just had to know that someone was there to catch him should something go wrong haha)

he likes following lines, he'd follow the cracks on the sidewalk and get frustrated when they stopped lol. The park had a little sidewalk edge that went all the way around so he liked following that. Aren't his shoes cute? I picked them out and Jeremy fell in love with them so we gave in and got them. (sometimes I think Jeremy likes shopping for Aiden's clothes more than his own haha)

Whenever Jeremy wasn't there to flip him around Aiden would slide down on his stomach because it was slower haha. Little scaredy cat!
