Jeremy had a three day weekend and since my 7D gets here on Monday and we can't go anywhere we decided to do something fun today. First we went to run some errands, one of which was picking up some stuff for the fish tank and we discovered Petsmart is the only place to go in Utah because everywhere else is horrible. Especially Animal Ark. AWFUL. Anways so we found some cute stuff and found some fish we want to add to the tank later but since we had too many errands we couldn't pick them up today. So we get home and guess what? The two little Tetras that were darting around happily only 2 hours earlier? Yep, they were dead. It is a mystery we have yet to solve...
Aiden took a nap and then we headed off to Discovery Gateway up in Salt Lake. Aiden LOVED it!!! They had so many things that even he could participate in and enjoy and he was in heaven.
they had music...
and trucks...
and giant blocks...(Aiden LOVES to knock stuff down but seemed to be a bit intimidated by the big blocks)
until I showed him how of course hahha!
They even had a car he could ride in! He thought that was pretty neat
They also had a "Bird's House" which was like an Aiden sized house! He LOVED that
even Jeremy couldn't resist
what a big boy!
Aiden was having SOOO much fun in fact that this is the only picture I have of him looking at the camera lol
to get out of the Bird's House there was a slippery slide, Aiden loved going down and wanted to do it again...with much frustration he discovered this wasn't possible...
like I said "much frustration." you even hear me in the background beginning to feel his pain and attempt to get Dad to stop laughing and torturing him
we decided to try another one that had steps to help him get up but Aiden wanted to keep trying the slide. Now it may look like here that he conquered it but it is a lie. You can see by Jeremy's hysterical laughing in the background that he could not possibly have made it. This is actually a picture of him sliding down, growling in frustration. He was sitting and then about halfway down he decided he wanted to go back up and flipped over and was shocked to realize he was still sliding.
poor Aiden, defeated by the slide.
my smart little boy realized that it was a lost cause and decided to take the steps
he was very attached to this pink car. So much so that another little boy realized that it must have been Aiden's car and anytime Aiden got bored of it the boy would follow him around and try to give it back. We've given up and accepted that he just likes pink.
They had a farm area with buckets filled with different vegetables. They even had a big horse you could sit on but too many people were hogging it so Aiden didn't get a turn.
so he rode in a big car with dad instead!
He quickly realized that this toy would only work if he walked, I'm thinking I might need to get one of these so he starts liking it more...hmmmm lol (he's been taking steps for months and walking for a couple weeks but he just still seems to not really like it all that much. I might just need to wait until he's running, which isn't far off, and then he'll realize it's faster then his super-speed crawl)
One of his new favorite things to do is put things in and out of buckets, drawers, etc so he was happy to find these drawers
Jeremy and I found a couch we could just sit back on and just laugh at Aiden the rest of the time. It was so much fun! We may just have to go again sometime...
