Finally some fun!

For those of you who hadn't heard, Aiden has been vomiting for 3 weeks. Last weekend we thought he was better so we went out and did a photoshoot but then he threw up again that night....here is Kaitlyn at the photoshoot being so patient :) unlike her grumpy brother but he was apparently still sick poor kid.

The good news is he has been better for over a week now and the doctors think it was just constipation so we were finally able to get out and have some fun as a family. I've also decided that I must have maxed out the limit for sick kids this year so I deserve a break for a while! On Saturday we went to ride on the Dinosaur Train at the Heber Valley Railroad. It was 102 degrees outside, my window was stuck and the train went about 5 miles an hour so we were all hot and grumpy and the dinosaur came for about 2 minutes and danced around and that apparently made it a dinosaur train? Ridiculously lame but now we've gone and had the experience and will never go again haha.

shopping before the train

Waiting and Aiden being grumpy that it wasn't time to ride the train yet (they make you get there 45 minutes early)

Finally!

He was hot and hungry. He seemed to forget this whole outing was for him..he did smile once when the dinosaur gave him a high five lol but I was holding Kaitlyn and didn't get a picture

Checking out his dinosaur book

Playing on the fake train after. He wouldn't let us get a picture of him with the dinosaurs so this is what we got

Kaitlyn fell asleep on the walk from the train to the car, which was just across the street lol....

Train whistle

Tattoo

After the train we went to a pizza place for dinner where they had a balloon guy who made Aiden a T-Rex. As you can see the balloon was more of a success than the train ride lol

Monday we went out shopping again because mom still couldn't find shorts. This is what happens when I let Aiden pick what he wears and put on his own shoes. Basketball shorts and rain boots.

It was another hot sunny day but we did find Kaitlyn some sunglasses that fit better and shockingly found mom some tolerable shorts

We had tried to go swimming Friday night but I forgot about the parades and apparently they needed to close off the pool for that so whatever. Monday after Jeremy got off work we headed over to the pool. It was SUPER crowded, apparently the 100+ weather made everyone want to jump in the pool (understandably!). Aiden has ALWAYS hated the water. Very frustrating to his dad who grew up skiing and his mom who grew up by the ocean. How did he miss out on the water genes!? The good news is Kaitlyn loves it! She just splashed and played and smiled and loved it. At least one of my kids does right!?

Ready to go

I hate this swimsuit but my maternity one doesn't fit anymore and my other ones were buried somewhere and I was in a rush! Need to find them before Cedar City this week!

Oh, how nice a daddy kiss

my kisses are eating your face, take that daddy!

love those big big eyes!

This is how Aiden spent the pool trip

Everyone loving on Kaitlyn

It was a lot of fun and I'm glad we got to go hang out at the pool. Needed something to get out of the house but that was tolerable in this heat! Thursday we leave for Cedar City!
