Fun outside

It's been hot and sunny and so we have been spending  more time outside. I decided to haul out the pool one day and let the kids play. It was Kaitlyn's first time in the pool! She grumbled a bit at first because it was windy and the water was not as warm as bath water (although very warm for pool water since it was in the high 80s outside and I left the thing sitting in the sun for hours before taking her out) but once she got used to it she really enjoyed it...well minus the sun in her eyes which is why she looks grumpy with her squinty eyes in all these pictures.

After swimming, Aiden decided to throw up and has now had a stomach virus for 4 days straight. Pediatrician says there's a stomach virus going around. It's definitely not been fun. What's weird is he eats and acts fine all day and then is sick at night and in the morning.  Poor kid even got a bloody nose tonight, he can't catch a break and neither can mom!

On a lighter note our shade tent came in the mail and Aiden has been loving it. I knew I'd need something to protect little Kaitlyn from the sun on those hot summer days and I found this for $25! Not bad!

We also finally got Aiden's sandbox in and done. Despite his stomach bug he was loving it (I told you, he weirdly feels completely fine all day). He was so upset when we made him get out, he loves it. We put the caps on the corners after Aiden went inside and we are going to do some kind of pavers around the edge to help keep sand out of the grass and just make it look a bit better. I'm so glad our backyard is finally getting done!
