Kitchen and Family Room Photos

Alright here they are FINALLY! Ha. So in the kitchen I took the color of the cabinets and chose the green because it was an accent color of the cabinets as well as the purple in the living room so it seemed like the perfect choice for the kitchen (also I love this color so much I would seriously paint the whole downstairs this color if it wouldn't have looked retarded). These pictures don't do it justice it's such a gorgeous color. It's a tiny bit darker and greener than it looks in these pictures, you'd have to see it for yourself I guess haha. The lighting just wasn't good enough today because it's cloudy but you get the general idea.

The family room is open to the kitchen so the colors needed to go well together while still seperating this as its own space since they are two different rooms. So I chose two shades of a green/grey so they have that touch of green to blend with the green from the kitchen but they were different enough to define the family room as its own space. We did the darker color on the tv wall and did the lighter color on the side walls and the cut outs for the tv stuff.

(recognize the curtains? haha) I HATE the dvds up on the cutout it looks like MASSIVE clutter so I'm deciding between a corner shelving unit that just goes into the corner of the wall that I can put them on or just your typical dvd rack that I will put between the couch and the tv wall so its more hidden

K so here is my dilemma with the bean bag. It takes up a MASSIVE amount of space. This photo right here is about half the size it usually is because i just fluffed it and piled it on top of itself. Once it spreads there is like no floor space and obviously because it is SO big and SO dark it dwarfs the room. If Aiden weren't in the picture I would just put it in another room. I say that because Aiden LOVES it. Everytime he gets in the room he starts laughing and tackling it he just loves it so much, its his favorite place to lounge out and watch tv. I just don't know if I have the heart to move it. We thought of getting the size smaller bag so it keeps the beans tight and contained and getting it in a much lighter color so it doesn't make the room look so dark and small. What do you think?

SEE! Look at how much more space there is!? I just don't know what to do...break my toddler's heart or dwarf my family room. :(!

Thanks! Sorry we haven't had you over yet things have been kind of crazy and it gives me an anxiety attack to think of anyone coming in the house when its not finished. The living room still needs quite a bit of work but once I've finished that room up I'll be sure to have you guys over :). Should be done soon I just need to sew some couch pillows (which its not looking like my mother in law will be sewing since the fabric was so expensive I'm afraid to touch it) and the recliner cover, coffee table and some decorative items and it should be good!
