Comfort

So Aiden has never really taken binkies. He also never attached to a specific blankie.One night I gave him blanket pooh bear. Well he immediately attached to that. I thought that the bear might become his "comfort item" but he always left it in his bed and never wanted to take it with him. The last couple weeks he's been throwing tantrums so we've started time outs. Sometimes in the timeouts if it's an especially bad tantrum, I leave him in the time out alone and I give him the blankie bear as a soothing item, and a lot of times it helps him calm down faster. Ever since I started doing that he has attached to the bear even more and now has started bringing it out of his crib with him. He officially has a comfort item!
