Trip to the zoo

We are under contract! We listed our home and 24 hours later had a strong offer with a backup offer the next day. I am so relieved it went so quickly because it was wearing me out to keep the house perfect for the showings while 8 months pregnant but we did it and it's done! Our new house will take 5-6 months to finish so probably the end of summer. To celebrate selling the house and get a break from all the chaos we took the kids to the zoo. They loved it! Kaitlyn LOVES animals so it was heaven for her, seriously. She refused to eat lunch until we had seen all the animals, and if you know how much Kaitlyn loves food and says she is hungry 24/7 you know how big of a deal that is.

Checking out the zebras and giraffes (which she called a cow? lol). The zebras started fighting so we got to see quite a show haha. Aiden came over and goes "mom. those zebras are not being very nice"

You'd think by his squinting that I was forcing him to look straight into a really bright sun but it was overcast....lol

One of Kaitlyn's favorites were the lions (which she called "Lion Guard"). She was very irritated there were no baby lion guards, there actually were but they were just born and being kept somewhere away from viewing until they are older.  She's very obsessed with baby animals right now (surprise surprise lol)

She HAD to sit on the baby lol

This monkey didn't seem to like us very much, he climbed up and started making faces at Aiden haha

Kaitlyn's other favorite were the elephants, she LOVES ice age right now (no seriously, I watch it like 3 times. every. day.) and she thinks the mammoths are elephants so she loves elephants

The baby is getting so big!

Aiden's favorites were the rhinos and snakes. Those are the only two things he wanted to see. Winter is the best time to go to the zoo, all the animals were so active and a lot were really up close where we could see them

The bobcat came RIGHT up to the glass, I barely missed it in this photo but right before I took it he was facing Kaitlyn and was like an inch from her face haha.

Train ride

The giraffe also had a new baby but she was pretty shy and we could only see her from the train ride so I couldn't get a cute picture. She was adorable though!

Someone loves her daddy <3

Tired mom with blistered feet but everyone is smiling and this is about as good as a family photo gets of us haha. It seems at 8 months pregnant no matter how supportive and comfy my shoes are my feet just can't handle walking anymore lol. I wanted to get in as much fun family activities as I could before the baby is born though. We are moving out of the only house my kids have really known, having a new baby and then moving into a new house and somewhere in there Kaitlyn needs potty trained so I figured do all the fun stuff now while I still can before I am cooped up in the house with a new baby and the kids are stressed out. It's a lot to take on for this year but I know in 6 months when we settle into our new dream house that it will all be worth it.
