Trip to Build A Bear

So to begin this story first I have to tell you about "bear". Bear is this pooh bear blankie animal that I got at one of my baby showers. We used to just leave it in aiden's crib and when we sleep trained him he attached to it. He was never a binkie or thumb sucker but he would suck on the silky edges of the bear to soothe himself to sleep. Well now after almost 2 years of sucking on the thing it has tattered and yellowed and stinks and no amount of washing will clean it. It is apparently considered a vintage item now and so I can't buy it anymore. Recently it has started to cause a rash on his face and so I decided it was time to try to wean him off it. So my brilliant plan was to take him to build a bear and make a huge deal out of getting a new bear and let him bring it everywhere with him while "bear" has to stay in bed. Here's hoping!
We let him pick his own bear and he picked a light colored one and Jeremy thought it was a more girly one (it's just a plain stuffed bear it's not like it had a bow on it) but Aiden was determined that that's the one he wanted. I think it's because his "bear" is light colored too.

He loved the stuffing machine

She even had him step on the pedal to fill his bear

He would stomp on it and then quickly step off, it was going to take us all day to fill his bear haha

Watching it being filled

Putting the heart in. Aiden loved his bear so much he decided he needed 2 hearts haha.

Despite this face he absolutely loved his bear and was hugging him and snuggling him all through the store (and the mall haha)

and all the way home
