Aiden's Special Day

Aiden has been having a rough time lately and Jeremy's been a little bit bogged down with school so I felt like we all needed a fun day. We started out by heading over to Kangaroo Zoo since it's just around the corner. At first Aiden was TERRIFIED of the bouncy houses but after a couple minutes of being comforted by mom he got right in and started playing around.

Unfortunately there were some lazy parents who let their kids run rampant while they sat lazily on the couches and so after a few minutes a bunch of older kids came in and started playing really rough (even though the sign said in HUGE letters 4 and under ONLY...it's the only bounce house for toddlers and yet all the older kids seem to think that the whole room full of bounce houses for them isn't enough) and scaring Aiden so he decided to leave (I was not the only one annoyed by it, another mom of a toddler quickly pulled her daughter out).

So we let Aiden run around for a bit and then decided to take him on some slides. The first one we tried was a little one so we let Aiden go down alone. He did NOT like that. So then mom went down with him and that he definitely loved. (this slide wasn't very slidey and so mom got stuck haha)

Since dad was the one who pushed him down the slide on his own he did not trust dad taking him on the slide haha

We were bombarded by big kids again and we found an area for 2 and under and since it was blocked off there weren't any big kids in it so he decided that was the safest place to be.

We had fun and it was fun to do something new but I don't think we'll go to Kangaroo Zoo again until he's a bit bigger. I might try the Monkey Jungle or whatever it's called up in Lehi and see if that one is better but I'm glad he got to play and get some energy out and feel like he got a treat.

After running some errands we went over to Cookie Cutters to get Aiden a haircut. Every time we cut his hair at home he moves around so much it ends up looking retarded by the time we're done and we've passed this place every time we are at Texas Roadhouse and it looked so fun so we decided to try it. Aiden thought it was the best thing ever!! He got to sit in a car and watch CARS the whole time which he was glued to, I may have to get it for him.

All done (and so glued to the CARS movie he wouldn't look at mom haha) doesn't it look great? They did an amazing job, we've decided we have to go there from now on.

After they were all done Aiden even got a balloon which as you can tell from this video was definitely his favorite part of the day.

Aiden was in such a good mood when we got home and was so good all day, I'll have to make it a new goal to do a fun activity like this at least once a month.

such a cute hair cut! Monkey Island is pretty similar, but when we went it was empty. During the day when the older kids are at school is a great time to go. I think I'm going to take our kids more often. If you want to go, let me know.

Thanks, it was nice to have someone who knew what they were doing do his hair haha! Sounds good that would be fun :)
