My kind of sad and pathetic Halloween.

First I guess I should briefly go into Jeremy's surgery. Jeremy dislocated his shoulder twice and unknowingly tore his labrum(cartilage) and when he started his binge golfing this year it made him more than aware of it. After some tests and an MRI they determined he needed surgery if he wanted the pain to go away. So he planned his surgery (conveniently after the golfing season) and so he had that this past weekend. Can I just say that being pregnant and caring for a stressed out toddler (tantrums not so mysteriously increased when Jeremy had his surgery) and a recovering husband is not something I'd recommend. He is feeling much better now and hopefully life will start going back to normal soon.

Jeremy's surgery was on Thursday and so we missed the Trunk - or -Treat on Saturday :( I was sad. I love Halloween. It's definitely right up there with Christmas. Candy, dressing up, scary things, love it all! I usually dress up but this year I wasn't going to attempt a lame pregnancy costume so nothing this year. Since Jeremy wasn't able to help with the pumpkins I had to do it all on my own and so I have no pictures. Aiden had fun poking the pumpkins although he didn't want to touch the "yucky" insides. Here are the finished pumpkins! We were going to do a fun theme this year but when it came to it I was too sick and tired so sorry if they are lame and boring.

"Ghostses pumpkin, Monster House pumpkin and Muno!" - as Aiden so affectionately called them

We were able to go to Jeremy's work's yearly Halloween trick or treating at the office which Aiden loved but unfortunately fell asleep for 10 minutes in the car and so was very grumpy for. Jeremy also didn't keep his costume on because it didn't fit so I didn't get my picture of him and Aiden dressed up. Again I was sad...I didn't get a picture of Aiden trick or treating either, not sure why. It's just that kind of year. Here is Jeremy though! Aiden loved that he was ironman...even though this is as much as he saw of it.

Jeremy's lame professor scheduled a midterm ON HALLOWEEN. So Jeremy had to go after work to take it and we didn't get home until almost 7, quickly ate a dinner and headed out when it was pretty much too late to trick or treat. Aiden had fun and at least he got to experience a little bit of Halloween. He was scared of all the "scary houses" which was every house and so he wouldn't knock on any doors but he would say "trick or treat" which sometimes came out "chocolate treat" and was very good about his "thank you"s. I forgot to light the pumpkins and it was late by the time we got home and so we didn't even watch a scary movie. It wasn't the best Halloween but we made it work. Now for Aiden's birthday, Thanksgiving and then on to Christmas.

"daddy you knock"

wouldn't wear his mask little stinker. Oh well.
