Memorial Day

We had planned 2 barbecues for Memorial Day (I know, we're popular people) so we had a pretty fun day planned out. Let me first start out by saying that wearing white pants to barbecues is not a good idea, somehow they came out unscathed but only with some help from my Tide pen. I looked awesome though so totally worth it right? Jeremy's brother and family from Georgia just moved here (we are pretty excited about it since they are awesome). We helped them move in Friday and hung out with them everyday since and Memorial Day was no exception!

Ate a delicious dinner thanks to Dave and Teri! I tried artichoke for the first time (I'd had it in dip and stuff but never just ate an artichoke). I liked the hear, the leaves I am undecided on haha.

Aiden played with this lawn mower practically the entire time. We may just have to get him one. Especially since Lexie destroyed all his other toys.

Jeremy determined to teach Aiden how to golf the right way. Why does he bother I don't know lol.

The geniuses decided to chuck a ball back and forth and it wasn't long before it ended up in a tree. Watching them retrieve it was pretty awesome though. Wish I had some pictures of it, it was pretty entertaining.

Every time I put my camera down, something awesome happened, go figure. I didn't catch any pictures of the older kids because they didn't hold still long enough for me too haha. I can chase a 2 year old around but 5 and 6 year olds are unfamiliar territory. They had quite the sword battle with Uncle Steve though. Aiden tried to help but ended up whacking Dallin more than Steve so we decided he shouldn't play anymore.

The guys, they kind of like each other

Bubbles were brought out which I was shocked Aiden didn't jump all over since he begs me for them non stop at home, that lawn mower was just too distracting.  Oh and don't worry. We made fun of the pants and boat shoes.

My favorite kind of subject - happy babies that smile just by you looking at them. AWESOME. I miss this age.

Getting up on slides is difficult...

whew! success! Aiden got halfway up and said "woah that's a really big slide" and gave up. WHAT A WUSS! (although at the other barbecue he went barrelling down a much bigger slide...he's very fickle)

Having my nieces nearby is basically awesome, they are adorable. And kensie's laugh is contagious. You can't help it, you just laugh.

And Aiden was still playing with the lawn mower....seriously going to have to get him one of these if only we can figure out how to keep it from the dumb dog

and whining or yelling about something or other. He didn't have a nap and decided to let us know that by bossing everyone and taking out his anger on some unsuspecting balls with a golf club. The good news is he didn't throw a tantrum so we had that going for us haha. (although came pretty close with some crying at being told he couldn't go inside).

Aiden was convinced Jamie's necklace had basketballs, soccer balls and baseballs on it. Sometimes I wonder where he gets this stuff....

We had fun hanging out with family and Aiden of course had a horrible time with the goodbyes. The other day before Steve, Jamie and the cousins came over I asked Aiden if he was excited to see them and he responded with "no teve, no J, no kenneys no bwake. They go bye bye ride in the car". He didn't want them to come because he knew they'd have to leave again. Poor little guy. Once he realizes they are here to stay I think he'll be less upset haha.

We headed off to the other barbecue with my cousins after and they had a big park where Aiden immediately went to and stayed the rest of the time. He was happy as can be. Jeremy played some ultimate frisbee which was awesome to watch and I didn't get pictures of because I didn't have my zoom lens and I was afraid to get any closer or I'd be pulled into the game. I took a glace at my white pants and decided they would not survive ultimate frisbee so I wisely stayed where I was at the pavilion. It was fun to see the family though and catch up with my Uncle David. I am a little retarded though and got my finger stuck in the grated bench and tried to nonchalantly pull it out to no avail (thanks Jeremy for diming me out!!!). I'm awesome like that....

We took a very tired boy home and put him to bed. He had lots of fun but finally got some much needed sleep.

Hope you all had a great memorial day weekend!
