Banks 2015

We went on a trip to Banks this year. The kids did amazing on the long drive, I am so proud of them. 13 hours is a lot for anyone especially little kids. We got to the lake and Kaitlyn kept pointing at it excitedly saying "water water water" so we knew we were going to have to keep a good eye on her or she'd dive right in lol.

She stole the radio haha

Kaitlyn loved the water

I thought he was just taking a weird selfie…because it's Steve…and then I realized it was my phone

Someone was too excited to sleep

The second day we were there it got crazy windy so we had to find something else to do

Grandpa brought kites from Europe! Aiden loved it

Kaitlyn kept trying to play with the big kids

Nana tried to show Aiden a fun thing to do by rolling down the hill but he wheezed and just laughed at her instead of following her haha

Kaitlyn snuck into Nana's tent to play

The wind was pretty chilly

sweet sleepy girl

I kept leaving my phone unattended

The next day mommy got really sick and it was crazy windy again so daddy decided we should leave a day early. While I napped to try to feel better, everyone else went on a hike

When everyone got back I was feeling better and we decided to go over to the jumping rocks to see if the water was calmer over there. Good news, it was!

Kensie was so brave and jumped off a huge rock, so proud of her!!

Kaitlyn went floating with me and swimming with jeremy but I left the camera in the boat so I didn't get pictures lol. Jeremy was also able to convince Aiden to go in the water.

The water also calmed down enough for Kaitlyn to ski on the skimboard! She did it on her first try and she is the youngest who has ever done it. That's my baby girl!! So so proud of her :) She was a little scared and was calling for her daddy but she was so proud of herself when she was done

We left that night to drive about halfway home and stay the night in the hotel so we wouldn't have to do the long drive after camping for days. Kaitlyn fell asleep on the way to the hotel so she was wide awake when we got there. Jeremy fell asleep on the bed with Aiden so Kaitlyn climbed in bed with me and watched cartoons and let me sleep until she fell asleep too.

The best way to eat oreos is to scoop the cream with your fingers…apparently

Even though the weather was bad it was a fun trip and Jeremy was able to ski a few times and Kaitlyn got to ski so we are happy we went and got to spend the time with family. Jeremy has a business trip and then we are hoping to do a little vacation of our own in Park City before school starts.
