Dr's Visit

So we took Aiden back to the pediatrician for his weight check and he had only gained 5 ounces :( he's now under 3% for his weight. So the pediatrician said I need to supplement...I feed him like normal and then give him 2-4 ounces after I feed him.

1st attempt at supplementing Aiden wouldn't drink it at all, he threw a major fit about it, so I watered it down(I know that watering it down ruins the point of supplementing I just wanted to help him transition) and heated it up and he took an ounce and then threw another fit and I calmed him down and he took another ounce and a half.

2nd attempt at supplementing I didn't water it down so of course Aiden threw a major fit again so this time I sat in his rocker and just offered it to him and then rocked him to calm him down and kept switching back and forth at least 10 times before he finally started drinking but once he started he drank all 3 ounces!!!

So of course with supplementing going so well SOMETHING had to go wrong, he got really fussy all of a sudden so I went to change his diapers and he was bright red and had hives all down his legs :( I lotioned him up in hopes that magically the baby lotion would somehow ease the itching and pain and he calmed down after that. Time to switch to new formula
